DAY 1 / 4 SIGHTSEEING IN BERGEN | HARDANGER FJORD CRUISE
We can recommend spending a night in Bergen, also know as “The Gateway to the Fjords of Norway” prior to joining this itinerary. Bergen’s main attractions (Bryggen, Fløibanen Funicular, Bergen Aquarium, and the famous Fish Market) are well worth a visit. What´s a better way of starting your multi-day adventure with Outdoorlife Norway, than taking a 1.5 hour fjord cruise from Bergen to the Hardangerfjord? You can join from Bergen City Centre or at Bergen Flesland Airport, where your Outdoorlife Norway tour leader and guide will join the tour. Along the 1.5 hour fjord cruise, enjoy idyllic fjords, cascading waterfalls and breathtaking scenery. The cruise ends at the scenic village of Rosendal. At historic Rosendal Turisthotell, acclimatise to the stunning natural scenery of fjords, mountains, glaciers and waterfalls, while enjoying a hearty 3-course dinner with your new travel companions.

DAY 2 / 4 TRANSFER | TROLLTUNGA WINTER/SPRING HIKE | DINNER & ACCOMMODATION AT TROLLTUNGA HOTEL
Get ready for a guided hike to Trolltunga on snowshoes! After an early breakfast and making your own Norwegian ´matpakke´ (lunch package), a 1 hour transfer by coach will take you to the trailhead in Skjeggedal, just outside of Odda. In hiking shoes, your professional guide will lead you up the first hill, called Topp. Once there, you’ll switch to snowshoes. Then you’ll continue up the mountain to Gryteskar, a location that will provide you with spectacular views of the Folgefonna glacier. The final stretch to Trolltunga traverses the mountain’s plateau. After approximately 6 hours of trekking, you’ll reach the famous Trolltunga rock formation. Your guide will allow you time to enjoy the stunning scenery of Lake Ringedal and the Folgefonna glacier. Of course, he/she will also ensure you capture a picture or two =) Your guide will then lead you back down to the trail-head, which will take about 5 hours. Ashuttle will take you to the historic Trolltunga Hotel, where the tour will end between 18:30 (6.30pm) and 20:30 (8:30pm), depending on weather and trail conditions. The hotel’s formidable building, which was built in 1928, is located near Odda and the amazing Hardanger fjord. In addition to the fjord, the location offers incredible views of rivers, lakes, waterfalls, and the Folgefonna glacier.

DAY 3 / 4 TRANSFER | PREIKESTOLEN WINTER/SPRING HIKE | DINNER & ACCOMMODATION AT PREIKESTOLEN MOUNTAIN LODGE
After hiked Trolltunga the day before, we will start the day with a good breakfast and easy start, by travelling along the new Discovery Route, which follows the Norwegian Scenic Route Ryfylke. During the 4 hour drive you will pass a variety of fjords, mountains, lakes, and waterfalls. Replenished with new energy, you will start your Preikestolen winter/spring hike in the afternoon. Your professional guide will lead you up through the shifting terrain and onward to the mountain’s plateau. This early in the year, weather conditions are constantly changing and the trail is often covered with snow and ice. As needed, you’ll adjust the equipment you use to match the changes in terrain. Along the way, there will be opportunities to catch your breath, enjoy a warm beverage, and snap photos of the spectacular nature around you. After 2.5-3.5 hours of trekking, you’ll be rewarded with a panoramic view of some of the most dramatic scenery Fjord-Norway has to offer. Standing atop the 604-meter-high cliff, the views of the Lysefjord and surrounding mountains are nothing short of awe-inspiring. On top of that, you’ll have the privilege of becoming one of the very few to have experienced Preikestolen during off-season. After a well-deserved break at the cliff’s edge, your guide will lead you back down to the trail-head, which will take about 2 hours. You’ll be facing Stavanger and the ocean while hiking into the sunset. If you’re lucky, the sunset will paint the horizon with vivid colors. Once darkness falls, your guide will provide you with headlamps to ensure that you safely navigate the last stretch of the trail. Depending on weather and trail conditions, the hike will end at approximately 7 pm. Included in this package is overnight accommodation (1-night) at the unique Preikestolen Mountain Lodge. The lodge is known throughout Europe as being an architecturally unique and environmentally friendly lodging. The unusual character of the building and its harmonious interaction with nature gives visitors a memorable experience. What is a better way of celebrating having hiked Norway´s most famous icons in winter than enjoying a well-deserved shower, local Norwegian cuisine, followed by relaxing in a Norwegian traditional outdoor hot tub overlooking the tranquil Refsvatn Lake.?

After a good breakfast, you will be transported to Stavanger (30 minutes), including driving the world´s longest undersea road tunnel. We recommend that you take the time to do some sightseeing in and around Stavanger’s charming city center. Highlights include Gamle Stavanger (old town), Domkirken (Norway’s oldest cathedral), Vågen (the harbor), Fargegaten (the colored street), and the unique Petroleum Museum.
